Applications for Speed Camp 2011 have now closed.

MILES Racing's ‘Speed Camp’ has been founded to encourage, guide and educate young drivers and their parents in all aspects of motorsport.
 
All National Championship Formula Ford competitors and all Australian Junior Clubman Karting competitors, are eligible for selection to attend ‘Speed Camp’.

The inaugural ‘Speed Camp’ will be held at Lakeside Raceway in Queensland on Tuesday 16 August.

‘Speed Camp’ will give twelve (12) competitors the opportunity to test with a leading team - Four (4) Junior (non-competing) Karters will test a Junior National Kart, four (4) Junior Clubman Karters will test a Formula Ford and four (4) Formula Ford drivers will test a V8 Supercar.

In addition to the test, ‘Speed Campers’ will be given direction on potential career paths, media and PR training as well as sponsorship procurement tips from a panel of experts who will be present on the day.

Drivers applying for a place at ‘Speed Camp’ will be judged on the following criteria between now and July 31, 2011 by a panel of independent judges:

• Presentation
• Results
• Sportsmanship
• Written application
